Match the image to your screen
Modern phones use tall aspect ratios (around 19.5:9 or 20:9) and resolutions of 1080 × 2400 or higher. A wallpaper that
looks crisp on a laptop can end up cropped or soft on a phone, so pick portrait-oriented images sized for mobile. All of our
collections are prepared for high-density displays to keep edges sharp and colours clean.
Think about icon legibility
Your home screen has to stay usable. Busy or high-contrast areas behind app icons make labels hard to read, so darker or more
even-toned wallpapers usually work best for a home screen, while you can be bolder on the lock screen where there are fewer icons.
On AMOLED and OLED panels, predominantly dark wallpapers also draw a little less power.
Let the theme match your mood
Cool blues and greens feel calm and are easy to live with all day; warm reds and oranges feel energetic; neutral black-and-white
suits a minimalist setup. City collections lean cinematic, art collections lean soft and decorative, and nature or animal themes
bring a calmer, organic feel. Picking by mood, not just by picture, tends to give a screen you stay happy with for longer.
